Bourbon Vanilla – Vanilla Beans | Buy vanilla sticks from Indonesia

Buy our vanilla bourbon beans at low prices according to the “bulk pack saving” principle.

Our Bourbon vanilla bean originates from Indonesia and is one of the most common vanilla beans in the world, taking its name from the island of Île Bourbon (now Réunion). Bourbon vanilla is characterized by an intense aroma that is harmonious and unique.

Vanilla is ideal for sweet desserts such as creams and puddings. However, because of its extreme tenderness, it also harmonizes well with white meat or fish and lends subtle notes to lobster or salmon dishes, for example.

Bourbon Vanilla Storage, Use and More Info

vanilla storage

Optimal storage conditions last about 15 degrees in the dark. For long term storage, you should aerate the stems every 2-3 months. If the pods are dry, a short warm bath helps or you can simply put a piece of apple in the glass for 1-2 days. The stem then pulls in moisture again.

You can use our scent bags to store vanilla. Alternatively, you can freeze bourbon vanilla bean.

The quality and origin of bourbon vanilla

When it comes to our vanilla sticks, we attach great importance to very high quality. That’s why we only buy the longer version (Bourbon +14cm) which is fresh and high quality. This gives you thicker and longer poles than you might find from the regular supermarket, for example (approximately 14 cm long is usually offered there).

It goes without saying that the vanilla bourbon bean is an authentic product from Indonesia, which is also an indication of a protected origin.
